                                                 Dr. Jeffrey A. Creswell

Dr. Creswell was born and raised on a farm in Iowa.  (A good ol' Iowa boy!)  He is a graduate of Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine 1981.  In June of 1981, he moved to California to begin practicing small animal medicine.  He has been a full-time staff veterinarian at Rialto Animal Hospital since February 1982.  We can't say enough good things about our doctor... caring, compassionate, and committed to giving his patients the best possible care, he'll leave many of you asking if he see HUMAN patients (many of our clients have already asked!!)
Dr. Creswell's hobbies include spending time with his family, golfing,  and reading.

Dr. Creswell's patients include dogs, cats, rabbits, and rats. (Unfortunately, he is highly allergic to hamsters and guinea pigs...Sorry!)

                                             Dr. Shannon T. Juarez

Dr. Juarez, a Rialto native, knew at the young age of ten that she wanted to become a veterinarian.  Her aspirations were no surprise to her family and friends because of her compassion and dedication to all living creatures great and small.  She completed her undergraduate and masters degree in animal science at the University of California, Davis.  Prior to attending veterinary school, she worked in the dairy industry as a marketing representative.  Dr. Juarez completed her veterinary degree at Western University of Health Science, College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2007 and has joined our team as a full-time staff veterinarian at Rialto Animal Hospital.  However, Dr. Juarez is no stranger to our practice.  During her four years at veterinary school, she worked during her summer and holiday vacations at our hospital.   In her spare time, she enjoys camping, swimming, cycling, playing tennis, and spending time with her husband and four-legged canine and feline kids.   Dr. Juarez also has a huge heart and another passion... for the past two years she has traveled to Ghana with a team of professionals and has worked to improve the lives of the underprivileged people of Ghana. She is a "perfect fit" here, with the same admirable qualities that we love so much in Dr. Creswell.  Dr. Juarez is a welcome addition to our team of doctors!!

Dr. Juarez's patients include dogs, cats, rats, hamsters, gerbils, guinea pigs, and chinchillas.

Dr. Heidi Schroer-Newell

As long as Dr. Schroer can remember, she has always loved animals and knew that becoming a veterinarian would be her passion and livelihood. She received her Undergraduate degree in 2006 from Cal Poly, Pomona, and her dream came true this year, in 2011, when she graduated from the University of Minnesota with her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Schroer was born in Berlin, New Hampshire and grew up in Southern California. Prior to starting veterinary school, Dr. Schroer worked with our team at Rialto Animal Hospital for a year. We are very proud to say that she also spent a year on the tiny island of Pohnpei, one of the Pacific Islands of Micronesia, where she taught English and Biology to the native children. We feel honored that Dr. Schroer is working by our side as our doctor, and are confident that you will love her as much as we do (and we love her a lot!!)

Dr. Schroer loves the mountains and the beach, especially palm trees and sand. Her interests include hiking, beach trips, playing with her three dogs, family time, and spending quiet moments with her husband, Mike.

Dr. Schroer's patients include dogs and cats.

                                                        Dr. Charles Irvin, III

Dr. Irvin has been a lifelong resident of Redlands.  Following in his father's footsteps, at an early age he decided to become a veterinarian.  He graduated from veterinary school at the University of California, Davis in 1966.  After a tour of duty with the United States Air Force, he entered small animal practice in Redlands.  In 1995, he moved to Rancho Cucamonga, where he practiced for another ten years.  In 2005, he went into temporary retirement, but found he missed working with his patients and joined Rialto Animal Hospital in February 2006 (and we are so glad he did!)  A self-professed "Cat Connoisseur", our feline-friendly "cat whisperer" is available for appointments on Tuesdays.  Dr. Irvin's hobbies include renewable energy consulting, photography,  restoring antique windmills, and spending hours with his entourage of cats and dogs.

Dr. Irvin's patients include (surprise!) CATS and dogs.

UPDATE: Dr. Irvin has once again "retired" (if you call it that!) and dedicates most of his time to serving displaced animals at Living Free Animal Sanctuary and Y.A.P.S. (Yucaipa Animal Placement Society). We still occassionally have the pleasure of seeing and working with Dr. Irvin, so we continue to consider him a part of our team.
