Pet Boarding in Rialto, CA

A Safe, Comfortable Stay While You’re Away

Planning a vacation, work trip, or weekend getaway? Let your pet be our guest at Rialto Animal Hospital.

When your pet stays with us, they are cared for by a team that already knows animals, medicine, comfort, safety, and TLC. Our boarding guests are supervised by trained veterinary team members, with veterinary support available if a medical concern comes up during their stay.

Because your pet deserves more than “just a kennel.” They deserve care that feels thoughtful, safe, and personal.

Veterinary-Supervised Boarding You Can Feel Good About

At Rialto Animal Hospital, boarding is designed with your pet’s comfort and safety in mind. Our team provides daily attention, clean accommodations, fresh bedding, and careful monitoring throughout your pet’s stay.

Our boarding care includes:

  • Veterinary-supervised care that you already trust
  • Trained veterinary assistants providing daily support
  • Prompt attention if medical concerns arise
  • Medication and special diet supervision
  • Heated and air-conditioned boarding areas
  • Soothing music in boarding spaces
  • Secure outdoor exercise/play space
  • Three daily walks for dogs
  • Wellness and preventive care options during boarding
  • Complimentary baths for dogs boarding 4 nights or more, when appropriate*
  • Complimentary cuddles (Okay, this one may be more for us!)

*Complimentary baths are provided at staff discretion. Fearful, aggressive, or dogs requiring extensive grooming may not be eligible.

Boarding for Dogs

Our dog boarding area includes both small and large areas, so we can help match your dog’s size, comfort level, and needs.

Dogs enjoy regular potty breaks, outdoor walks, clean bedding, and care from our pet-loving team. Whether your dog is a social butterfly, a senior sweetheart, or a little nervous away from home, we will do our best to help them feel safe and loved.

Cat Boarding? Treat Your Cat Like Royalty at CATS

While Rialto Animal Hospital does have a separate cat boarding area, we especially encourage cat families to consider boarding at Rialto Cat Hospital, our feline-exclusive hospital located right next door.

Cats are not small dogs — and they know it.

Rialto Cat Hospital's boarding facility was designed just for cats, with a quieter, calmer, feline-focused environment. Their cat boarding experience includes window-view condos, natural sunlight, bird-watching opportunities, sun-bathing perches, private litter areas, Feliway pheromone diffusers, and classical music to help create a more peaceful stay.

Medical Boarding & Special Care

Some pets need a little extra support while their families are away. Because we are a veterinary hospital, we may be able to help with pets who need medications, special diets, monitoring, or medical boarding when appropriate.

This can be especially helpful for pets with diabetes, senior pets, or pets with ongoing health needs. RAH currently describes boarding as limited veterinarian-supervised medical boarding for special-needs patients.

Please call us so we can discuss your pet’s needs and determine whether our boarding facility is the right fit.

Wellness Care During Boarding

When boarding, it is also a convenient time to take care of overdue wellness needs.

Depending on your pet’s health status and appointment availability, we can complete services during their stay, such as:

  • Wellness exams
  • Vaccines
  • Parasite testing
  • Preventative care
  • Nail trims
  • Medication refills
  • Teeth cleaning
  • Other recommended care

We will always discuss medical services and recommendations with you.

Boarding Requirements

To help protect every pet in our care, boarding guests must be current on required vaccines and fecal/internal parasite testing.

These requirements help reduce the risk of contagious illness and keep our boarding environment safer for everyone.

Please contact our team before your pet’s stay so we can confirm your pet’s records, discuss any needed updates, and help make check-in smooth.

Boarding "Need To Knows":

1.  Drop-off time for boarding is typically between 8:30 am and 10:30 am, and 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm. This helps our team make sure we can take care of all morning, midday, and evening feeding, walks, care (and cuddle time!)

2.  If your pet is taking any medications, please bring those with you in the original, clearly labeled containers.

3.  If your pet has special dietary requirements, please bring enough food for the duration of their stay.

4.  We provide bedding and bowls; any items from home need to be clearly labeled.

5.  If your pet has received veterinary care elsewhere, please be sure to bring proof of current vaccination and fecal status.

Check-In, Pick-Up & Tours

Boarding drop-off and pick-up are available during regular business hours, between 8:30 am and 10:30 am, and again between 3:00 pm and 4:30 pm. *Special arrangements may be available upon request.

Want to see where your pet will stay? Please ask us for a tour!
We would be happy to show you around and answer questions so you feel comfortable before your pet’s visit.
