Cat Friendly Practice
It can be stressful for both you and your cat to visit the veterinarian. The veterinary visit starts before you even arrive at the veterinary clinic with trying to get your cat in the carrier and the car ride to the practice. According to the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP), 58% of cat owners report that their cat hates going to the veterinarian and 38% report they get stressed just thinking about bringing their cat to the practice.
Armed with this knowledge, we are pleased to share with you that we are a registered “Cat Friendly Practice” with the American Association of Feline Practitioners. As an accredited Cat Friendly Practice, Rialto Animal Hospital has proven that we have taken specific extra steps to assure we understand a cat's unique needs, have implemented feline-friendly standards, and have made changes to decrease stress and provide a more calming environment,. Additionally, our staff has been trained in feline-friendly handling and they understand cat behavior in order to increase the quality of care for your cat.
By becoming a Cat Friendly Practice, we hope to build productive relationships with cat owners, which will result in improved care and wellness for our feline patients.
Having been evaluated by AAFP this March, we are now an official Cat Friendly Practice!!
